The design package includes a Structure design and a Foundation design. Structural slab on grade, Carwash trench, Structural shear wall, columns, or post as per Seismic and gravity loads, Strong walls, or Moment frames, Main Beams and structural elevated floor joists, beams, Roof joists, or rafters, main beams, and headers.

The mechanical ventilation per mechanical code requirements and manual S calculation per energy code requirement. Also, single line diagram and demonstrate the electrical power distribution system/concept, panel schedules electrical circuits, and electrical outlet location per code requirements. We are providing an isometric diagram for cold/hot water and gas piping. Finally modeled the building envelope and building system by the latest EnergyPro for Title 24 compliance.

This industrial building, 5,556 sq. ft. project required many complex tasks, which go beyond usual design requirements typical for residential or even commercial buildings. Besides structural design for internal rooms, there where heavy mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sprinkler requirements.

As a single source of responsibility, S3DA was able to address the client’s needs on several levels. We offered designs for cooling and heating systems, humidity control, a lighting system, a plumbing system including water, water heating and wastewater, and a gas system. We also offered an electrical system with all controller circuits and a ventilation system.

S3DA took care of all calculations and offered a cost-effective path to the client to achieve its goals.

Medical cultivation facility design in Saco, ME

S3DA Design Engineers provided Mechanical and Electrical design services for the medical cannabis grow facility in Saco, Maine. The goal of the project was to provide precise temperature and humidity control for the grow spaces, having energy efficiency in mind.
The project included the renovation of a 32-year-old distribution warehouse for growing, processing, extraction, and packaging of medical cannabis.
The engineers provided the Mechanical and Electrical design for the facility, which includes extraction RM, biomass storage, product storage, packaging area, cultivation area, and solvent storage tanks.
This highly secure facility is designed with video surveillance of all critical locations, as well as access control, intrusion detection, and design services for structured cabling and audio/visual systems. Lighting specifically designed for plant growth was used in growth and flower rooms. An automated lighting control system were integrated into each room to simulate natural lighting from dawn to dusk.
In the plant growing area, HVAC systems were designed to reduce heat, handle the high moisture load, purify the air, and circulate large amounts of air, while exhaust air was filtered to remove the odors.

Medical Cultivation Facility Design in Santa Rosa

In this tenant improvement project, the building was a warehouse storage, located in Santa Rosa, CA. Built in 1972. This property features 20000 sqft of living space, The building was redesigned to a Cultivation Facilities for providing herbology products. Our company provided MEP design for this project.

Electrical and Plumbing plans were designed economically adhering to all occupant’s safety requirements in compliance with the intended building usage. HVAC’s plan set was another important part of this project which was completely designed and calculated by S3DA Design competent mechanical engineers.
